Part love letter and part call to action, Ripples 2023 features artwork, photography, poetry, and prose by students and young professionals, ages 6 to 25, who reside in the watersheds that surround and feed into the Salish Sea. With an annual edition on World Water Day since 2021, Ripples was created out of a strong conviction that youth voices hold a critical place in conversations about watershed governance and stewardship. The name Ripples was chosen because of the outward and far felt ripples created by uplifting and celebrating the voices of youth.
Ripples 2023 was produced by the University of Victoria Sustainability Project, POLIS Water Sustainability Project, and Year of the Salish Sea.
