Caleigh Aalders is a Victoria-raised University of Victoria student in her third year of a double major in English Literature and Environmental Studies. Her post-secondary journey so far has involved participation in a classical voice music program at Camosun College (2015-2017), a field school on sustainable agriculture in Peru (2018), and an upcoming one-year exchange at the Université libre de Bruxelles (beginning September 2019).
As a zealous commuting cyclist, Caleigh is passionate about the intersection between sustainable practices and human well-being. Freshwater management and freshwater swimming are equally enjoyed. Between spending time at local lakes and her work at POLIS, Caleigh interacts with B.C.’s precious water resources on a daily basis. Her dearest wish for more hours in a day is unlikely to be realized, although it would permit for more reading and piano, cello, and singing practice.
