Julia Baird is an Assistant Professor in the Environmental Sustainability Research Centre and the Department of Geography and Tourism Studies at Brock University. Julia is keenly interested in how we govern water in an era where change is inevitable and often unpredictable. Accordingly, her transdisciplinary research is broadly interested in water governance, with specific areas of interest related to how we can adapt to changing conditions, from local to national and international levels, understanding how the actions we take lead to social and ecological outcomes, and how our actions can be influenced to foster water resilience. She has a B.Sc. (Agriculture) from the University of Alberta, an M.Sc. (Soil Science) from the University of Saskatchewan, and a PhD (Environment and Sustainability) from the University of Saskatchewan.
