Ian Hudson is a Professor of Economics at the University of Manitoba. He researches in the areas of political economy and community economic development. He has published peer-reviewed articles on Fair Trade, the social determinants of health, economic history, and subsidizing professional sports teams. He has co-authored six books, most recently The Profit Doctrine: Economists of the Neoliberal Period (Pluto Press) and Economics in the Twenty-First Century: A Critical Perspective (University of Toronto Press).
