B.C.’s Water Sustainability Act (WSA) enables the development of regulatory and policy tools that, if effectively seized, could increase local governments’ abilities to more sustainably manage local watersheds. Many of these tools have yet to be developed. This report identifies opportunities for the development and implementation of regulations, policies, and programs under the WSA that could address challenges hampering watershed sustainability in urban areas across B.C. This report was published by the Canadian Freshwater Alliance. The POLIS team provided input and review.
