Published on Earth Day 2018, Dr. Tim O’Riordan and Dr. Jon O’Riordan authored an op-ed describing how the hard work of hope centres on the ability of humans faced with a crisis to exercise extraordinary creative solutions to safeguard all species over all coming generations, and the important role of sustainability science.
Tim O’Riordan, PhD, is an emeritus professor of environmental sciences at the University of East Anglia, U.K. and an academic adviser to the University of Victoria’s POLIS Water Sustainability Project (WSP). Jon O’Riordan, PhD, is a strategic adviser to the WSP and a senior adviser to Simon Fraser University’s Adaptation to Climate Change Team (ACT).
