B.C.’s water management stuck in crisis mode

Published On: September 22nd, 2017

On September 22nd, 2017 the Times Colonist published an op-ed authored by the WSP’s Oliver M. Brandes and Rosie Simms. It describes how B.C. needs to move out of crisis response mode and instead set our communities, economies, and ecosystems up for success as the climate changes and freshwater impacts become increasingly common and damaging. Fresh water must be made a top priority if the new B.C. government is to achieve its promises, including rethinking land use; bridging the rural-urban divide; and advancing a clear, cross-government vision of reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.
