BIG_Lab is once again proud to partner with the POLIS Water Sustainability Project to offer the Summer Institute Ecological Border Management. Co-led by POLIS’ Oliver M. Brandes, this University of Victoria certified course will deepen your knowledge of the various approaches used around the world to tackle climate change at the global and cross-border levels. Over three days, sessions will be facilitated by professionals from organizations that manage watersheds, peace parks, and nature reserves from all continents, as well as leading academics in the fields of border studies that are studying how states and local/regional communities are adapting to those changes in the era of the Anthropocene.
Day three of the institute will feature POLIS’ Oliver M. Brandes and Jon O’Riordan and long-term POLIS partners Merrell-Ann Phare (Centre for Indigenous Environmental Resources) and Michael Miltenberger (North Raven).
