On Tuesday, October 18th a select group of POLIS staff attended the exploratory workshop “Exploring our Senses of Belonging,” led by POLIS’ Sherry Da and Kelly Bannister. The session addressed aspects of “justice, equity, decolonization, diversity, and inclusion” (JEDDI), particularly as they relate to Sherry and Kelly’s respective work in the areas of fresh water, and biodiversity and biocultural ethics.

After opening with some introductory content and perspectives, attendees participated in reflective group discussion. The entire workshop was interspersed with simple movement opportunities that allowed participants to deepen their personal felt sense of awareness and connectedness.
