Jesse Baltutis

Senior Policy Analyst, Climate Action Secretariat, BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy

Jesse Baltutis is a Senior Policy Analyst at the Climate Action Secretariat at the B.C. Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy, where he works with partners inside and outside of government to develop and advance climate policy and public reporting on climate progress. Prior to entering government, Jesse completed his PhD at the University of Victoria’s Department of Geography, where his focus was on the governance of transboundary rivers (Columbia River and Orange-Senqu River). He has worked at the POLIS Water Sustainability Project (2011-2015), Friends of the Earth Middle East – Bethlehem (2011), and the United Nations Environment Programme – Kenya (2009-2010). He is thrilled to continue his collaboration with the POLIS team as one of its practitioner advisors.
