With strong public support for enhanced freshwater protection, an increasingly sophisticated freshwater constituency in British Columbia, and new legal tools in the B.C. Water Sustainability Act for advancing water management and governance, we are in a critical moment of opportunity for the Province to set forward a bold new water agenda based on a foundation of robust management and transparent and effective governance. This brief provides the context and rationale for a provincial focus on water and offers a ten-step plan to implement this revitalized water agenda.
